My perspective on life has always been centered around constant development. There is always room for improvement, and for a significant portion of my life, my community has been the subject of such improvement.

All of the extracurricular activities I have organized and participated in have been towards fostering the growth of my character, so that I could grow into a person who could influence and impact the improving of my community.

My experiences have become the foundation to who I am and the decisions I make. Because the reality is that my parents are immigrants and I am a minority, and because of this I have faced ongoing difficulties and have remained resilient.

This however ultimately led me to gain an insatiable passion and tenacity towards improvement. I used the courage that I acquired from overcoming my numerous struggles to stand out and make a difference to ensure that my voice would be heard.

In order to bring about that change which was needed for me, I now work to be the voice for the voiceless, so that I could create the change for people like me.
